I am not a natural reader. I get on best with the audiobook running alongside the paperback, and even then the book stops the moment I do. You reach the last page, you close it, and the whole thing goes quiet. If you were lucky it gave you an idea or two. It cannot tell you what to do with them on Monday, because it has never met you, and by Monday evening the idea is usually back on the shelf with the book.
So every book The BA Press publishes carries a code. Scan it, or type the address printed underneath it, and the book carries on. On the other side is a place that works on your situation with you, built by the people who wrote the book, and kept alive for as long as the book is.
What you find there depends on the book. The Resolve to Lead trilogy opens onto the framework itself, the charter and the tools, free to anyone, because the whole point of that framework is that it spreads. The titles that follow the trilogy are about the business rather than the leader, and their companion will be the Strategy Toolkit, which reads your own situation and tells you which of the book's models actually fit it. For those books the code will sit at the back, where the reader who has finished the book will find it, and it will carry a reader's price on the Toolkit's working.
Two rules apply to every panel, and I hold the typesetter to them. One code does one job. And the address is always printed underneath in plain text, because a code is no use to someone whose phone will not scan it, or to whoever picks the book up second-hand in ten years' time. A book that goes to work has to keep working.
This is the panel inside The Leader with Resolve:
